Celtic ended their Europa League campaign with a 3-2 win over Real Betis. Stephen Welsh, Ewan Henderson and David Turnbull were the ones on the scoresheet for the Hoops. But the win does not taste nearly as sweet with the injuries that Hoops suffered on the night, as Ange Postecoglou might very well be scrambling for options right now.

The biggest storyline of the night is most probably going to be the injury suffered by Kyogo. It had looked like the Japanese star was set to get a well-earned rest but the manager decided to bring him on when Albian Ajeti was forced off the pitch with an injury.

Kyogo himself picked up what appeared to be a hamstring injury, in what will be a huge worry for the club moving forward. The extent of the problem remains to be seen but things are not looking good.

The Hoops have some huge games coming up and it appears that both of their in-form players, Jota and Kyogo, are now on the sidelines.

Here are three things we learned from Celtic’s unexpected 3-2 win against Real Betis in the final group game of the Europa League:

Liam Scales deserves more chances

Scales has not gotten a lot of chances since arriving at the club. But whenever he has been on the pitch, he has looked pretty good.

He found the back of the net brilliantly after coming off the bench against Dundee United recently. And starting against Real Betis tonight, he put in a commendable performance.

With all of the worries surrounding the left-back position at Celtic for the past several years, it might be time for Postecoglou to give Scales a run in the first-team and see if he can nail down his spot there.
