Celtic will head into their game against Real Betis knowing that the result on the night will not make any difference to their fate in the Europa League. They can no longer make it to the knockout phase of the competition. But they will have European football to look forward to after this as they will be going into the Europa Conference League when the group stage comes to an end.

Ange Postecoglou will have to think about rotating his team on this occasion. While there is no doubt that this is a big European game, one cannot deny that the upcoming games are more important to Celtic.

Not only can they not afford any more injuries, with several players out on the sidelines already, but they need to give rest to a number of their players as well, many of whom have played a tremendous amount of football recently, mostly due to the lack of depth in certain areas.

Thus, this is a very difficult line up to predict considering the fact that Postecoglou is expected to make several changes.

Here’s how we think Ange Postecoglou could line Celtic up when they face Real Betis in the final group stage game of the Europa League campaign:

Scott Bain appears to be the second choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment, with rumours linking Vasilis Barkas with a Parkhead exit in January.

As a result, it might be a good idea to give him some minutes and hopefully help him find a bit of rhythm, as the Scottish goalkeeper has barely featured this season.

On the other hand, it is an opportunity to give Joe Hart some rest as well, as the English goalkeeper has played constant football ever since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
