Celtic are expected to make a splash in the January transfer window. The Hoops made significant additions in the summer but even then, it is clear that their squad is not the strongest at this point of time. There are several positions all over the pitch where Ange Postecoglou could do with more options and as we have seen already, a few injuries to a couple of key players could see them in trouble.

That happened earlier in the season when Kyogo and Callum McGregor were on the sidelines. And with Jota, Anthony Ralston and Stephen Welsh picking up injuries in the game against Hearts, it remains to be seen what effect they have on the team’s performances moving forward.

One thing that is for sure is that the Celtic need to make quite a few additions to their ranks. And it looks like they might be eyeing a brilliant triple transfer deal.

Rumours have been doing the rounds for a while. And now, as reported by The Japan Times, Celtic is in the process of trying to acquire Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi.

Celtic are eyeing brilliant triple transfer deal

The names of Maeda and Hatate have been linked with Celtic for a while now and most fans would be familiar with them.

The rumours linking the Hoops with Ideguchi are fresh though. The Japanese midfielder had enjoyed a meteoric rise early on his career, breaking into the Japan national team set up at a young age.

He would go on to join Leeds United a few years back but that move did not work out. He spent loan spells in Germany and Spain, but ultimately returned to Japan and has since established himself again with Gamba Osaka.

All three could prove to be interesting signings to say the least and it remains to be seen if Celtic can pull it off.
