Another Celtic player who has had his fair share of injury problems in recent times is James Forrest. He has barely featured since last season but has come back into the mix of things recently.

And the long-time Celtic star has already made a huge impact, by scoring the winning goal in the Scottish League Cup semi-final to book their place in the final against Hibernian later this month.

Forrest has mostly played on the right-wing till now but following Jota’s injury moving him to the left-wing and playing Liel Abada on the opposite flank could be a potential solution.

Of course, Forrest is not back to his efficient best yet but that is understandable considering how much time he has been out of action for. That will only come with playing time. And it must be said that left-wing is not his strongest position but he can play there if the situation calls for it.

On the other hand, Abada started the season in incredible fashion but has faded away a bit in recent months. Hopefully he recaptures his best form soon.

Kyogo

Kyogo has been sensational as a striker since arriving at Celtic. In fact, it was his goal that won them the game against Hearts at Parkhead.

And if there is any opportunity to play him through the middle, Ange Postecoglou must do it. But if the situation calls for it, playing him as a left-winger is a potential solution as well.

In fact, he has already featured there on multiple occasions for Celtic. And admittedly, he has not looked nearly as good or as effective playing there. But with Jota out injured while both Forrest and Mikey Johnston have struggled with fitness problems continuously over the past few years, one must be ready to see Kyogo playing at left-wing, depending on how things unfold over the coming weeks.
