Aberdeen’s Stephen Glass makes Celtic manager admission

When Celtic appointed Ange Postecoglou as the club’s manager in the summer, after their attempt to bring Eddie Howe to Parkhead was unsuccessful, it is safe to say that not a lot of fans were excited. While he had enjoyed a lot of success in both Japan and Australia, he had very little experience managing in Europe and it is understandable why a lot of people were sceptical.

It is safe to say that Postecoglou has come in and quickly become a fan favourite. It is not only his style of football that has caught the eyes but the results have shown a steady improvement as well.

The squad has very little depth at the moment but Celtic are expected to make additions in the January transfer window. And then it will be interesting to see how the Hoops do.

Aberdeen manager, Stephen Glass, seems to have been impressed by Postecoglou. As reported by the Daily Record, he said:

"“Ange is clearly a top manager, he’s shown that.“He’s come into a different environment altogether and is handling everything thrown at him. And there’s been a lot.“It’s good to see someone who believes in themselves that much doing well.“We had a few words after the last game we played and he was supportive of me as well.”"

Celtic will need to keep improving from here on forward

Celtic are in a decent position at the moment and considering the cards that he was dealt, Postecoglou has done a brilliant job. The important thing now though will be to keep on improving and producing results.

Considering the circumstances, the Hoops have done very well till now. Of course, there is still a lot of room for improvement and several positions in the squad need more strengthening. January will provide them a great opportunity to do that and then it will be interesting to see how Celtic do in the second half of the season.

Their nine game unbeaten run recently came to an end at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League away in Germany. The game against Aberdeen will provide them a great opportunity to bounce back and get back on track.
