The upcoming Scottish Premiership game between Celtic and Aberdeen at Parkhead promises to be a very important one for both clubs. For Ange Postecoglou’s side, this is a huge opportunity to bounce back and put the disappointment of the midweek defeat against Bayer Leverkusen behind them, while also hopefully, cutting down the gap between themselves and the Rangers in the Premiership table.

On the other hand, Aberdeen find themselves in a very tricky situation right now. They have not had a good start to the season and currently sit at 8th in the Premiership table. Thus, it is safe to say that there is a lot of pressure on the shoulders of manager Stephen Glass to turn things around soon.

It will not be easy for them though when they meet Celtic at Parkhead this weekend, with the club going through several injury worries.

At this point of time, Calvin Ramsay, Declan Gallagher, Andy Considine and Mikey Devlin all look set to miss the game against Celtic. On the other hand, Funso Ojo is set to miss out due to the controversial red card he received in the previous game. As reported by The Press and Journal, Jack MacKenzie and David Bates seem to be in the running to be fit for the game though. That is a boost for Aberdeen, who have had to play Scott Brown at centre-back in recent times.

Celtic need to win the game against Aberdeen

Celtic’s nine game unbeaten run came to an end at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen in midweek. But there is no time to reflect as we are in the middle of arguably the busiest part of the footballing calendar.

Thus, Celtic will have to turn their focus towards the game against Aberdeen, which is very important for Postecoglou’s side as well.

The Scottish Premiership title race could be a tight one this season if Celtic can continue to improve and perform like they have in recent times.
