Celtic’s Scottish League Cup semi-final proved to be a tight contest as was expected. James Forrest’s goal after coming off the bench is what ended up separating the two sides and booked the Hoops’ spot in the final, where they will face the winner of the game between the Rangers and Hibernian.

Ange Postecoglou might have arrived just a few months ago but he has already managed to win over the fans. And guiding Celtic to the final will be another feather in his cap.

It was not the greatest performance from the Hoops but at the end of the day, they got the job done. And that is what matters most in cup games.

Now, they have a huge game to look forward to in December, after not winning a single trophy or even making a final in the previous campaign.

There is a good feeling around Parkhead once again, which has been rare in recent times. The Hoops have won eight of their previous nine games across all competitions, while drawing the other one.

And it is not just the performances or the results which have been a huge positive but this team seems to be coming together quite well too. When things are not going their way, they seem to be reacting in a positive manner. And sometimes, that is exactly what champion teams do.

It might be a bit too early to tell, but one can’t help but feel that things are turning around for Celtic once again, after a disappointing 2020/21 campaign that saw them finish 25 points behind the Rangers and without a trophy.
