Midfield: Nir Bitton, Callum McGregor, David Turnbull

Defence is not the only area that has had its injury problems in recent times for Celtic. In fact, it has been a similar case all over the pitch but especially in midfield.

After a shaky start, the combination of McGregor, Turnbull and Tom Rogic in the middle had truly come into its own. One player who was standing out particularly is the Australian.

He had not been a regular part of the Celtic first-team for quite a while but has found a second breath of life following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager in the summer as well as the departure of Ryan Christie.

Rogic was playing some of his best football in a Celtic shirt before getting injured a few weeks back and has been out since. The Hoops do not have a like-for-like replacement for the Australian star though and as a result, they have featured Bitton deep while moving McGregor further up the pitch. And that is the combination that one would expect Postecoglou to go with against St Johnstone as well.

Wingers: Liel Abada, Jota

Both Abada and Jota have shined on the wings for Celtic this season. The Portuguese winger has been an absolute revelation and there are already calls for the club to sign him on a permanent basis from Benfica.

On the other hand, Abada has been tremendously impressive, especially considering the fact he just turned 20 years of age. And while Postecoglou has more options on the wings right now, this is the duo that he should, and most probably will, stick with

Striker: Kyogo

This is almost a no-brainer at this point of time. Kyogo has been nothing short of sensational whenever he has player up top through the middle and Postecoglou should let him continue to do his thing there.
