Mooy is the most first-team ready midfielder that Celtic have been linked with recently. The Australian international has already played quite a bit of football under the management of Ange Postecoglou with the national team and thus, will know his system well.

After enjoying a decent time in the Premier League with the likes of Huddersfield Town and Brighton & Hove Albion, Mooy currently plays for Shanghai Port FC now.

He had been heavily linked with a move to Celtic in the summer but ultimately, a move did not materialise. And after a few months of there being no more news regarding a move for Mooy, the rumours have cropped up once again recently, linking the Australian with a transfer to Parkhead.

Even at 31 years of age, Mooy has the potential to be a solid signing for Celtic, especially considering the fact that he has already thrived in Postecoglou’s style of football in the past. Now, it remains to be seen if the Hoops do end up making a move for him in the near future.

Danny Mandroiu

Celtic have already signed a Shamrock Rovers player this season in the form of Liam Scales. And while he might have arrived with a lot of expectations behind him, it is safe to say that things have not gone quite as expected for the youngster.

He has barely featured for Postecoglou’s side since arriving in the summer. But that has not stopped Celtic from being linked with another Shamrock Rovers player, this time in the form of Danny Mandroiu, who has been a standout for the League of Ireland club in recent times.

It is believed that Celtic have had their eye on Mandroiu for a while, at the same time as Scales. And while one deal is already over the line, they might try to get the other one done when the transfer window reopens.
