Most Celtic fans will know about Jordan Larsson. He is the son of one of the greatest players in the history of the club, Henrik Larsson, and thus, that connection will always be there. The Swedish forward has been linked with a Parkhead switch a few times in the past and those rumours have re-emerged over the past week or so, despite his recent struggles at Spartak Moscow.

Larsson enjoyed a spectacular 2020/21 campaign with the Russian side and was being linked with a potential move to Borussia Dortmund not too long ago.

It is safe to say that this season has turned out very differently for the 24-year-old though. He is yet to score or assist in the Russian Premier Liga in this campaign and it is believed that Spartak Moscow want to find him a new club in January.

At this point of time, a move to Celtic would certainly be very surprising, especially considering the €10 million transfer fee that he is believed to be rated at. But never say never in football.

Daizen Maeda

If there is one player that Celtic must try to sign in the upcoming January transfer window, it is Daizen Maeda.

Ange Postecoglou will already know the player very well from their time together at Yokohama F. Marinos. In fact, it was the manager who had brought him to the club and it is not hard to see why. Maeda looks like the perfect player for Postecoglou’s style of football.

He is also enjoying a brilliant campaign right now and is the leading goalscorer in the J1 League despite not being an out and out striker. Thus, it is safe to say that if Celtic managed to sign him, it would be considered as a major coup. Now, it remains to be seen if they can actually get it done and bring the Japanese superstar to Glasgow.
