Celtic star could return from injury by the end of this month

Celtic have had their injury problems for a long time now but it looks like one star could finally make his return by the end of this month. That, of course, will be music to the ears of Ange Postecoglou, who does not have the deepest squad to pick from at the moment and could do with as many options as possible.

The player in question is Christopher Jullien. Many believe that the Frenchman is the most talented defender at the club right now but he has been out of action for almost a year now.

Jullien has not made an appearance for Celtic since last December and spent the majority of the 2020/21 campaign out of action as well. He was believed to have back problems at the start of last season and just after he had made his return from it, he picked up a long-term injury. The initial feeling was that he would miss around four months of action but the Frenchman has not played a single minute of football this year till now.

There appears to be some good news though. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Jullien is pushing towards a Celtic comeback by the end of the month.

It is safe to say that someone like Jullien could be a completely new player for Postecoglou, considering how long he has been out of action for.

It would be important to slowly reintegrate into the team though and be careful that he does not end up picking up another injury.

There is no question that Jullien is a very good defender when at the top of his game. One has to question though how he will look after such a long-term injury. Celtic fans will definitely be hoping that he looks as good as he has in the past, and has well and truly put his injury issues behind him.
