Jed Wallace is a player who has been already linked with a potential free transfer to Celtic in the future and it is not hard to see why.

The Millwall star has been in sensational form this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 5 goals and provided 5 assists in 16 appearances in the Championship in this campaign till now. And it is safe to say that if Celtic were able to sign the winger, it would be considered as a major coup.

Wallace’s current deal with Millwall is believed to run out next summer and he has not put pen to paper on a new deal yet. Thus, there could possibly be an opportunity for the Hoops to make a deal happen.

Also, Wallace is still just 27 years of age and in the prime of his career as a footballer. Thus, he would be a solid signing in that aspect as well, especially considering the injury issues that the likes of Mikey Johnston and James Forrest have had on the wings in recent times.

Hector Herrera

Midfield has been an area of worry for Celtic for a while now. Someone like Hector Herrera, who currently plays for Atletico Madrid, could be one who could solve that issue if the club were able to sign him.

Now, this is definitely an outside of the box choice and would be a tough deal to pull off. But, Herrera is now 31 years of age and would be 32 by the time next summer rolls around. Also, he has not played a lot of football this season and his current deal with the Spanish club is set to run out at the end of the campaign.

Of course, one has to wonder whether the Mexican star would be open to a move to a completely different country and culture at this stage of his career. But if there is any possibility that a deal could be done, Celtic must consider it.
