Celtic vs Ferencvaros: 3 things we learned as Kyogo, Jota, Abada score
Kyogo keeps doing his thing
Kyogo has been absolutely brilliant since arriving at Celtic and he is showing no signs of slowing down. He has already crossed the 10-goal mark for the Hoops and will score many more if he can continue playing like this through the course of the season and remain injury.
At the weekend, Postecoglou had played Giorgos Giakoumakis through the middle while leaving Kyogo on the bench. And that decision drew some criticism.
Now, Kyogo will need rest through the course of the season. That is only natural. The Japanese star cannot play every game.
But when Kyogo is on the pitch, he has to be the man playing through the middle. He is just too good in that role to feature on the wings.
Against Ferencvaros on the night, he scored one and assisted another, while he could have easily scored another one with a bit more luck.
Celtic need to sign Jota on a permanent basis
Just how good is Jota? Nobody knows. Because he appears to be getting better with every passing game.
When Jota arrived at Celtic, there were a lot of questions around him. He had been one of the most highly-rated talents in all of Europe while coming through the youth ranks at Benfica and at one point of time was even linked with a move to Real Madrid.
But, he had not quite found his feet at the senior level. Jota was not able to establish himself in the Benfica first-team and then did not have a great loan spell at Real Valladolid either.
It is safe to say that he looks like a completely different player at Celtic though. He scored a magnificent goal against Ferencvaros and his overall play was brilliant as usual.
Jota is only on loan at Celtic right now but the Hoops have an option to buy included in the deal and they must do everything that they can to keep him at the club on a permanent basis if he continues to play like this.
