Reo Hatate has been considered as one of the most exciting talents in the J1 League for quite some time now and recent rumours suggest that Celtic are trying to bring him to Parkhead in January.

One of the biggest qualities of the Japanese star is his versatility. He is regarded as a midfielder but has played a lot recently at left-back. He is also capable of playing as a winger on both flanks or even at right-back if the situation calls for it.

That kind of versatility can be an asset to any club. The fact that he has been able to show it with back-to-back J1 League champions, Kawasaki Frontale, is even more impressive.

It is believed though that Celtic view him as a midfielder. And that makes sense considering the fact that they need to strengthen in the middle of the park.

The combination of Tom Rogic, David Turnbull and Callum McGregor has done quite well recently but there does not appear to be a lot of depth beyond them. We have also seen the Australian pick up an injury recently.

Song Min-kyu

We have seen South Korean players thrive in Europe over the years and Song Min-kyu is considered as one of the most gifted of his generation.

The 22-year-old has already won the K League Young Player of the Year award in the past and big things are expected from him moving forward. He currently plays for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, who sit at the top of the league.

The winger has already represented the South Korea national team on several occasions and was recently linked with a move to Celtic.

Postecoglou could do with more options on the wings as well. Both Mikey Johnston and James Forrest have been in-and-out of the team with injuries in recent times. On the other hand, Karamoko Dembele has been on the sidelines since pre-season after picking up an injury.
