With Ange Postecoglou being the Celtic manager, the club are expected to look all over the world in search of signings in the near future. And some of the players that they are being linked with recently are already showing that. Now, it remains to be seen how things unfold when the transfer window reopens in January.

There is no denying the fact that Celtic need to make a few signings in the winter in order to add to their squad depth. We have already seen how badly the Hoops struggle when a few of their top stars go down with injury.

They could solve this problem to some extent by making additions in January. And are already being linked with several players.

Postecoglou spent several years as the manager of Yokohama F. Marinos before joining Celtic and as a result, the club could look towards the Asian leagues in January, when their campaigns will be over and it will be easier to sign players from there than it would be in the summer.

A player that Celtic have been linked with for a while is Daizen Maeda. He has played under the management of Postecoglou in the past during their time together at Yokohama F. Marinos. In fact, it was the manager who brought him to the club.

Currently, Maeda is enjoying a spectacular season and is the leading goalscorer in the J1 League.

The 24-year-old could be the perfect signing for Postecoglou’s style of football. He possesses incredible pace, stamina, ability to get past his man and finish with both feet. And on top of everything else, he already has experience of playing in Europe.

Now, it will be interesting to see if the Hoops can get a deal over the line.
