Kristoffer Ajer makes brilliant Celtic confession after great Brentford start

It is safe to say that Kristoffer Ajer has made a bright start to life in the Premier League since joining Brentford earlier in the summer from Celtic. The Norwegian star has surprised many with his quick transition to England’s top flight and he has made a brilliant admission regarding the Hoops for that.

Ajer was one of the most important players at Celtic for years before making a move to Brentford this summer. It was always believed that he was one of the players capable of succeeding in the top flight of English football and he is doing just that at the moment.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 7 appearances in the Premier League already, which have combined for 565 minutes of football.

Ajer has given credit to his time at Celtic for his successful and quick transition to the Premier League, even describing it as ‘easy’. While speaking with Brentford and as reported by 67 Hail Hail, he said:

"“It has been great. I think coming from Celtic, it is quite easy to take that step.“It is a massive club in Glasgow that is expecting you to win every single game. So, it has been easy to adapt to [the Premier League] but also quite challenging with regards to the opposition that you play every weekend.“So it has been a great learning experience.”"

Ajer gives credit to time at Celtic for quick Premier League transition

Several players have departed Celtic in recent years to go on and play at the very highest levels of English and European football. Names like Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney come to mind immediately.

Ajer and Odsonne Edouard completed switches to the Premier League this summer while Ryan Christie moved to Bournemouth, who currently sit at the top of the Championship table and could very well be playing in the English top flight in the not too distant future.
