Things have been looking up for Celtic in recent weeks. They are on a three game winning streak and building up some momentum once again. Earlier, rumours even broke out about a possible move for Daizen Maeda in the January transfer window. And, there is good news on the injury front as well with Ange Postecoglou confirming that two stars are now available for the game against St Johnstone.

For a large portion of the season, Postecoglou has not had a huge squad to pick his starting XI from owing to injuries to several important players as well as the fact that Celtic do not have the deepest squad in the first place.

The returns of Kyogo and Callum McGregor recently have certainly helped matters and gotten the side back on track after a poor run of form. Giorgos Giakoumakis also appears to be getting up to match speed and has impressed in his recent appearances off the bench.

And as tweeted out by Alison Conroy, Postecoglou has said that Josip Juranovic and James McCarthy are available for Celtic’s game against St Johnstone.

It goes without saying that this is a massive boost for the Hoops. Both Juranovic and McCarthy arrived in the summer and are expected to have big roles in Postecoglou’s side. But till now, their beginning to life at Parkhead has been stop-start.

Hopefully, the duo will remain free from injuries moving forward and make their marks on the Celtic first-team.

Celtic have won their previous two Premiership games against Aberdeen and Motherwell respectively, away from home. Now, they will play against St Johnstone at Parkhead in a game that they must look to win in order to carry on their recent momentum and hopefully climb further up the table. At the moment, they sit at fourth.
