Things are very much looking up for Celtic at the moment. After a poor run of form, they have turned things around over the past few weeks, winning three straight games. And it looks like there is some good news coming up on the injury front as well.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have already been handed quite a few injury boosts in recent times. The returns of Kyogo Furuhashi and Callum McGregor from their respective injuries have certainly played a huge role in Celtic’s recent upturn in form.

Giorgos Giakoumakis also appears to be getting up to match speed and has looked very sharp in his previous two appearances off the bench.

One man who has been out longer than most is Christopher Jullien. He was injured at the end of last year and has not made a single appearance for the club this year. The French defender appears to be teasing that he is not far away from getting back on the pitch though. He tweeted out:

Jullien teases Celtic return on social media

Initially, it was believed that Jullien would miss four months of action with his injury. It is safe to say that it has been much longer than that already but we are yet to see him feature for even a single minute of football this year.

He has recently returned to training though which is a massive boost and rumours have suggested that he could be ready to play after a few weeks.

Jullien’s return would be a huge boost for Celtic, who have struggled at the back in his absence. One could argue that the Frenchman is the best defender at the club right now but we will have to see how he looks when he makes his comeback. One has to remember that he has been out for almost a year now.

At the moment, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt appear to be the first-choice centre-backs at Celtic with Stephen Welsh competing for a spot as well.
