Celtic’s start to the season has been mixed to say the least. But after a couple of straight wins, they have climbed up to fourth in the Scottish Premiership table and will be going into their Europa League game against Ferencvaros with a lot of confidence.

There are a lot of reasons to be excited about Ange Postecoglou’s side. Yes, the results have not been the best till now. But we have seen that at their best, this is a team that can produce some impressive football.

Earlier in the campaign, they went on a six-game winning streak, outscoring their opposition 24 to 4. That is the kind of football that they need to produce on a consistent basis.

Fortunately, it appears that they are already past the toughest part of their campaign, which was always going to be the start, with a new manager, several new players and a number of injuries.

Celtic are past their biggest challenge under Postecoglou already

When Postecoglou first arrived at Celtic, most of the media and fans who were familiar with the manager pointed out how the start is always difficult for his sides.

And that is understandable considering the specific style of football that he wants his teams to play. Naturally, it is expected to take some time for the players to adjust to a completely different system.

Also, the fact that Celtic’s squad is not the deepest right now and that they have gone through several injury issues already did not help matters when it comes to getting a good start.

Hopefully though, the team have put their injury issues behind them. Several players are slowly but surely returning to action now and with a few months of football under the management of Postecoglou under their belt, things should get better moving forward. Also, expect more signings in the January transfer window.
