Not too long ago, James Forrest and Christopher Jullien were two of the most important players in this Celtic team. But both have spent the majority of the last couple of seasons out of the first-team picture due to injuries. Now though, there appears to be a time frame when each could make a return to the pitch.

Forrest has been in and out of the team for a while now. He has made a return several times only to return to the sidelines not too long after. That would be a huge worry for the 30-year-old and Celtic.

On the other hand, Jullien has been completely out of action for a long time. He picked up an injury at the end of last year and has not made a single appearance since then.

There appears to be some positive news on the horizon for Celtic regarding the duo as it looks like they are closing in on their respective returns. As reported by the Daily Record, Ange Postecoglou said:

"“They are on different trajectories. James is working hard and we’re hopeful he makes significant progress over the next two or three weeks.“Jullien is back training with the team, which is really important. It’s very challenging when you are doing your rehab by yourself for a long period of time.“He’s back with the team but he’ll need a good three or four weeks to get back up to speed. His progress will be a lot quicker now he’s with the group and knows everything he needs to do to be able to play.”"

Forrest and Jullien returning would be a massive boost for Celtic and Postecoglou

One of the biggest worries for Celtic this season has been the lack of their squad depth. It has meant that injuries have left them short of options several times already.

Thus, two first-team stars like Forrest and Jullien returning would be huge for Celtic and Postecoglou. It will be very interesting to see though whether they manage to remain fit.

As we have already seen with Forrest, he has suffered multiple injuries over the past year or so. On the other hand, Jullien has spent a long time on the sidelines and there will be questions about how he will look when he finally gets back to the pitch.

Celtic fans will be hoping that both of them can remain fit and in form moving forward.
