Things are looking up for Celtic at the moment. Ange Postecoglou’s side have won back-to-back games, against Aberdeen and Motherwell respectively. And now, they have been handed a huge injury boost as well, heading into one of the most exciting and important phases of their season.

It had been months since Celtic had last won a league game away from home. Thus, it goes without saying that winning two straight is an incredible boost for the Hoops’ confidence.

The international break appears to have done them a world of good. Several players had been dealing injuries over the past few weeks and the break gave them some time off to recover. Hopefully moving forward, Postecoglou’s side can remain as free from injuries as possible.

One player who is still on the sidelines is Josip Juranovic who picked up a hamstring problem recently. But there is good news surrounding the Croatian international as it looks like he is closing in on a return. As reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou said:

"“Juranovic did his hamstring so didn’t go away. He’s been doing rehab here. It’s the tail end so we’re looking at next weekend for him.”"

Celtic will be handed a massive boost by Juranovic’s return to fitness

Juranovic is expected to be one of the most important players in Postecoglou’s side this season. He is coming off of several impressive seasons at club level and is a regular in the Croatia national team.

There is no denying that his start to life at Celtic has been stop-start. He has played out of position on a few occasions due to injuries to other players in the team and then picked up an injury himself which has kept him out for weeks.

Hopefully though, he can return to full fitness soon and get a run in the first-team. For the time being, it looks like Anthony Ralston will continue as the first-choice right-back at Celtic and it must be said that he has done a very good job this season.
