It is safe to say that over the past couple of weeks, Celtic have managed to turn things around a bit. Back-to-back away wins, against Aberdeen and Motherwell respectively means that they are now pretty much back in the thick of things. And with the Rangers dropping points, the Hoops now find themselves sitting at fourth, just four points off the top of the table.

This is a very different picture from a few weeks ago when Ange Postecoglou’s side had been completely written off. But with some of their players returning from injury, it seems like they are building up some momentum and finding form once again.

Hopefully, with a few good performances moving forward, and a couple of results going their way elsewhere, Celtic can move further up the table.

Postecoglou has always been adamant that it was very early in the season and his side were nowhere near out of the title race. And as a result, he decided to make a tongue-in-cheek comment after the win against Motherwell.

As reported by Clyde 1 Superscoreboard (via 67 Hail Hail), the Celtic manager said:

"“I thought the Premiership race was over, mate, so…“I’m not looking at the table any more, we’re kind of just doing our own thing. Zero significance to us, I think what’s more important to us is that we get some belief out of today.”"

Celtic need to build on this momentum and string together a series of wins

Results have been mixed for the Hoops since the arrival of Postecoglou as manager but he has already managed to become a fan favourite. His brilliant interviews are one of the reasons behind that and this was a perfect example.

The past two wins have certainly been massive for Celtic and now, some of the pressure will be off them.

Moving forward, it is about building on this small amount of momentum that they have managed to build up though. Celtic had not won a league game away from home for months and now they have won two straight. That should provide the team with a lot of confidence.
