There is no denying that Celtic’s start to the season has left a lot to be desired. At the moment, Ange Postecoglou’s side sit at sixth in the Scottish Premiership table. And while most people would have expected this to be a transitional season, even then the Hoops need to go significantly up the table over the course of the campaign.

The win against Aberdeen was a great place to start. It was Celtic’s first away league win in months. And hopefully, they can use it as a platform to bounce back and turn their season around.

One of the biggest problems that the Hoops have faced this season till now is injuries. With the squad not being the deepest in the first place, it has left Postecoglou with very few options to pick from on several occasions.

Things were expected to improve significantly in that regard after the international break as it would have given the players time to recover from their injuries. But even then, it looks like Josip Juranovic could miss the upcoming game against Motherwell.

Juranovic could miss Celtic’s upcoming game against Motherwell

As reported by Football Scotland, Juranovic’s hamstring problem could see him sitting out Celtic’s upcoming game against Motherwell.

Juranovic is one of the most exciting signings that the Hoops made in the recently concluded summer transfer window. A Croatian international, there are high hopes that he can become one of the best players at Parkhead this season.

He has not quite found his feet yet though. Not only has his own injury been a problem but he has played out of position a couple of times as well due to injuries to other players. Hopefully, with a good run of games as a right-back, he will be able to find his best form for Celtic.

The game against Motherwell is very important for Celtic. After ending their streak of not winning away from home recently, a second straight one could give them a massive boost and help turn their season around. A defeat though would send them a step back.
