Celtic find themselves in a tough spot in their Europa League group just after a couple of games. They lost their opener away against Real Betis 4-3 in a thrilling game of football. And then they were beaten 4-0 at home by Bayer Leverkusen.

Thus, they have lost both their games in the competition till now and find themselves at the bottom of their group. And if the Hoops are to keep their chances of qualifying to the knockout phase of the Europa League alive, they might very well need to win both of their upcoming games.

These will be back-to-back games against Ferencvaros, who have also lost both their games till now. Thus, this could very well turn out to be a tight contest between the two sides.

Of course, there is some history between the two as it was Ferencvaros who had knocked out Celtic from the UEFA Champions League qualifying phase last season. Thus, the Hoops should be even more keen on getting a positive result this time around.

Celtic have been handed a massive Europa League injury boost

Josip Juranovic has been out of action for the past several weeks after picking up a hamstring problem. But as reported by Football Scotland, the Croatian right-back will be back in time for the game against Ferencvaros at Parkhead.

It would be interesting to see whether he would start the game or not even if he is available. But as we saw with Kyogo and Callum McGregor recently, Ange Postecoglou will start someone if they are fit to do so.

Juranovic’s return would be a massive boost for Celtic. The Croatian international is expected to be one of the most important players in Postecoglou’s team this season even though he has not quite gotten it going yet, since arriving at Parkhead earlier in the summer.
