Celtic have a great history of youngsters breaking through into the first team although it might not have happened consistently in recent times. And it looks like they have one potential star in their youth ranks, who they must keep an eye on in the future, as he is showing incredible form and ability with the Republic of Ireland under 17s side.
Rocco Vata from the Celtic B team was selected for the Republic of Ireland under 17s squad for the European Under 17 Championship qualifiers and it is safe to say that he has made his mark already.
If the name sounds familiar, he is indeed the son of former Celtic star Rudi Vata. And the youngster is already showing brilliant potential himself.
He both scored and assisted in the Republic of Ireland Under 17s game against Andorra. FA Ireland tweeted out the highlights of the game:

Can Vata become a first-team star at Celtic in the future?
With wins in both matches, the Republic of Ireland Under 17s have qualified for the elite phase of the European U17 Championship qualifiers. Hopefully, Vata will get the chance to impress there as well and these are all great opportunities for him to gain experience and develop as a player. The side will next face Poland on Wednesday although their progression is already assured.
While he might still be a teenager and quite some way away from the first-team picture, he is already making a name for himself and is definitely one to keep an eye out on for the future. One can only hope that one day he is a regular feature in the Celtic first-team picture.
Interestingly, he is eligible to play at international level for both Albania and Scotland as well in addition to the Republic of Ireland.
