Results have been mixed at Celtic so far following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager in the summer. There are a lot of things to be excited about but then, it must also be said that this side needs to improve a lot if they are to challenge for titles anytime in the near future.

There is no doubt that Postecoglou is trying to get Celtic to play an attacking and exciting style of football and that must definitely be the long-term goal. But at times, it is also important to grind out results when the situation calls for it.

Some players have significantly improved following the arrival of the manager though. One of them is Tom Rogic. Not too long ago, the Australian had looked destined to depart the club after falling out of the first-team picture. He is well and truly back in the mix of things now though. And the Australia national team manager, Graham Arnold, appears to have noticed it as well.

As reported by The Canberra Times, Arnold said regarding Rogic’s situation:

"“Tommy’s doing very well, I had a good chat to him last night and he’s very happy and everything’s going well for him.“Tommy’s a kid where if his personal life his going great then his professional life then goes great and vice versa.“So it’s great to see that he looks extremely fit, he’s had a lot of minutes, and working under Ange is great and he’s very happy.”"

Rogic looks set to play an important role in this Celtic team this season

There is no doubt about the fact that Rogic has been very good this season. The only issue right now appears to be his combination with David Turnbull in midfield.

Both of them are very similar kind of players and neither is known for the defensive side of things. As a result, the combination just doesn’t appear to work together.

Individually though, Rogic has been quite impressive and looks like a different player from recent seasons. With Callum McGregor returning from injury and James McCarthy also getting up to match speed slowly, one can only hope that Postecoglou can find the perfect combination in the middle of the park moving forward.
