There is no doubt that Kyogo has been absolutely sensational ever since arriving at Celtic this summer. It is arguable that he has been the club’s best player this season till now and is the most important player in Ange Postecoglou’s system.

We have already seen Celtic struggle in his absence recently, as he spent a few weeks on the sidelines after picking up an injury while with the Japan national team. Now, he is back in the mix of things though and appears to be making a difference once again.

He opened the scoring against Aberdeen, in what was Celtic’s first away win in a long time. And the club will be hoping that he can remain fit moving forward.

But his performances appear to have caught the eye of clubs down South as he is already being linked with a move to the Premier League.

Kyogo being linked with a move to the Premier League after his brilliant start for Celtic

As reported by Calciomercato, Southampton have set their sights on Kyogo. A switch from Celtic to Southampton is nothing new and has happened several times in the past.

One thing that is clear though is that Kyogo is an integral part of Postecoglou’s team and they do not seem nearly as good going forward when he is not playing. His movement is absolutely brilliant and he very often finds himself in the right place at the right time. If he can improve his finishing a bit, he can score even more goals.

As a result, fans will be hoping to see Kyogo play for the Hoops for years to come. It was just earlier this summer that Celtic signed the Japanese star and thus, they should not be in any hurry to let him leave already.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Kyogo has scored 8 goals and provided an assist in 11 appearances for the club across all competitions.
