It is safe to say that the 2-1 win against Aberdeen was a huge result for Celtic. A defeat on the day would have seen them slip down to 7th position before the international break. But now, they are just a couple of points off third placed Hibernian. The Hoops’ summer signings, Kyogo and Jota, ended up finding the back of the net on the day to end their long streak of not winning an away league game, which had stretched back to earlier in the year.

Hopefully, they will come back from the international break stronger and make a charge up the Premiership table over the coming games.

While the performance against Aberdeen did leave a lot to be desired, at least the team showed the determination to get a result on the day. That is what will be important for this team moving forward.

Kyogo reacted brilliantly to the victory on his social media. The Japanese star posted on his Twitter:

Kyogo’s return has handed Celtic a massive boost

Very often this season, we have seen Celtic put in good performances but not making most of their chances and not getting a positive result. This time around, it was completely the other way round.

The Hoops had only two shots on target on the day but managed to score twice to come out of the game with all three points and hopefully some momentum.

It goes without saying that Kyogo’s return to the team has been a massive boost for Ange Postecoglou’s side. He has the type of movement that nobody else has in this team and we saw his eye for goal as well, as he brilliantly found the back of the net vs Aberdeen.

Kyogo had been out of action with an injury for a while recently and it is expected that he will get even better as he plays some more football over the coming weeks.
