Celtic have recently had their fair share of troubles when it comes to injuries and they are showing no signs of stopping at the moment. Josip Juranovic was forced off injured in the recent game against Dundee United. And Ange Postecoglou has shed some light on the extent of the injury.

Juranovic has been solid ever since arriving at Parkhead this summer and the Croatian international is expected to be a regular member of Postecoglou’s side this season.

And he has also provided some much needed flexibility in the full-back positions. Capable of playing at both right-back and left-back, Juranovic has featured in both those positions for Celtic till now. Thus, it gives Postecoglou more options when picking his team.

It looks like Juranovic could be out for a little while though following his recent hamstring injury. As tweeted out by Alison Conroy, Postecoglou has said that Juranovic will be out for a couple of weeks.

Celtic look set to be without Juranovic for a couple of weeks

In Anthony Ralston, Celtic have someone in their squad who has shown this season that he is very capable of playing regularly in the right-back position. The 22-year-old has been very good and one of the Hoops’ most consistent performers of this campaign.

But Juranovic’s injury does take away a lot of the flexibility of this squad though. With Greg Taylor also out injured, Adam Montgomery, Boli Bolingoli and Liam Scales are the three players who are capable of playing at left-back. On the other hand, Ralston is the only recognised right-back in the squad who is fit at the moment.

The upcoming international break could end up helping out Celtic in this scenario though and significantly reduce the number of games injured players like Juranovic will miss.

We would like to wish Juranovic the best in his recovery and hope he is back on the pitch as soon as possible.
