Odsonne Edouard was arguably the best player at Celtic during his time with the club. Yes, he did have his ups and downs, just like any other player but at the top of his game, he might very well have been the best player in all of Scotland.

After being linked with a move to the Premier League for a long time, he finally got his move this summer, as he joined Crystal Palace. There, he has made a solid start.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Edouard has scored 2 goals in 3 appearances for Crystal Palace, having featured for just 103 minutes of football till now.

Those who saw him at the top of his game at Celtic must have been pretty sure that he was good enough to be a success in the Premier League. But even then, whenever a player makes a move from the Scottish Premiership, some questions are always there. Thierry Henry has admitted that he had similar questions regarding Edouard, as he believes he was too good for the Scottish league. While speaking with Sky Sports and as reported by 67 Hail Hail, the Arsenal legend said:

"“My only question mark was when he is playing in Scotland, was can he do it in the bigger league. No disrespect to the league in Scotland, but he was too good for that league.”"

The former Celtic star can be a big hit at Crystal Palace

It is not just at Celtic that Edouard showed his incredible quality but with the France youth teams as well. He even holds the record for most goals scored for France under-21s, having found the back of the net more than once a game on average for them.

And there is a great chance that he can be a massive hit for Crystal Palace in the Premier League. While he has made a good start, the Frenchman might take some time to adjust to the English game.

When he has settled into his new surroundings though, he has the potential to establish himself as one of the best players in the Premier League not playing for one of the Big Six.
