There is no question that Celtic’s start to the season has been bad. While they did go on a good six-game winning streak in the middle, the overall results have not been up to the mark till now. As a result, the Hoops find themselves sitting at sixth after the first 7 Premiership games, already 6 points behind the Rangers.

As a result, performances and results need to pick up as soon as possible if they are to have any hope of challenging for the Premiership title this season. And in that regard, they have been handed a massive boost by the displays of Jota and Liel Abada.

Playing on opposite wings, the two have been superb despite the team underperforming overall in recent times.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Jota has scored once and provided 2 assists in just 5 appearances for Celtic till now. On the other hand, Abada has scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 13 appearances for the club, according to Transfermarkt.

Celtic have a lot to look forward to with Jota and Abada

Both young players, there is no doubt that there are a lot of areas that the two can improve in. At times their decision making is not great and they will have off games here and there throughout the course of the campaign. But overall, there is a lot to be excited about what is to come from both of them.

And then, there is the return of Kyogo. Hopefully, the Japanese star will be back in action soon. He has been absolutely brilliant ever since arriving at the club this summer.

A front three of Kyogo, Abada and Jota has a lot of promise. And with Giorgos Giakoumakis yet to make his Celtic debut, while James Forrest and Mikey Johnston are also expected to recover from their injuries soon, Postecoglou could soon have a lot of interesting forward options to pick his team from.
