Celtic had a busy summer transfer window, as they ended up signing twelve players overall with ten arriving on a permanent basis and two loan deals with an option to buy included in both of them. Thus, it is safe to say that this a very different looking team from last season, especially with the likes of Scott Brown, Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie, Olivier Ntcham and a few others having left.

Some of the summer signings have come in and immediately made an impact on the first-team. A few others are yet to settle into their new surroundings and have not had much of a part to play.

It looks like Celtic already have their eyes on the future though in terms of potential signings. The club have been linked with Millwall’s Jed Wallace recently and there appears to be good news regarding that transfer race.

As reported by Football League World, it is looking increasingly difficult for Millwall to get him to sign a new deal and remain at the club. His current deal runs out at the end of this season and Celtic, Rangers, West Ham United and Newcastle United are believed to be interested in signing him.

Wallace could be a solid signing for Celtic

Wallace has been one of Millwall’s standout players in recent seasons. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored and assisted thrice each this season in 8 appearances in the English Championship. And since the start of the 2019/20 campaign, the winger has scored 23 goals and provided 23 assists as well.

At 27 years of age, he is in his prime as a footballer and it does look like he is at the top of his game right now. Thus, Wallace could prove to be a solid signing for Celtic, especially on a free transfer.

Now, it remains to be seen if the Hoops can get a deal over the line. There certainly appears to be quite a bit of interest in his signature and understandably so.
