Celtic have had their fair share of injury worries in recent times, so much so that it has been a while since Ange Postecoglou was able to name a team close to their strongest XI. And with the Hoops struggling for form at the moment, it is clear that they are missing the injured players.
Kyogo Furuhashi is someone who has been a huge miss for this team in recent times. The Japanese star has been a huge hit ever since arriving at Parkhead this summer and has looked like the club’s best player when he has been on the pitch.
He ended up getting injured while away on international duty with the Japan national team earlier this month and has been out of action since. But it does appear that there is some positive news on that front.
As reported by the Daily Record, Kyogo appears to be stepping up his first-team return and was pictured training away from the squad at Lennoxtown.
Celtic handed Kyogo injury boost as he returns to training
In the picture that was posted, it does looking he is running around the ground instead of training with the squad. Thus, it looks like he is back to running but not a part of full training yet. Originally, it was believed that he could be out for a month. Now, it remains to be seen when he does end up returning. This is a very positive sign though.
Kyogo returning would be a massive boost for Postecoglou’s side. They have looked a much better unit with him in the team than without him.
His movement is incredible and he always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Also with options up top appearing limited at the moment, Postecoglou could certainly do with the Japanese international back in the mix of things.
