There is no denying the fact that Brendan Rodgers was very successful during his time as Celtic manager. The club played some of their best football under his management and it was during his stint at Parkhead that they were transformed into a treble winning machine.

It is arguable that things have gone downhill ever since he departed the club to join Leicester City. And while his achievements with Celtic were incredible, he is not remembered fondly by many fans because of the fact that he left to join The Foxes in the middle of the season.

It must be said that he has done very well at Leicester City since becoming their manager. He has guided them to an FA Cup and a Community Shield win, and they have competed for a top four spot in the Premier League till the very end over the previous two seasons although they did not ultimately manage to get over the line. And now, Rodgers is being linked with one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

As reported by 90min, Rodgers remains on FC Barcelona’s radar as a potential replacement for Ronald Koeman.

The former Celtic manager is being linked with FC Barcelona

It is safe to say that Rodgers’ run at Celtic did not end as most fans would have expected or liked. He would be remembered much more fondly if he had left at the end of a campaign rather than in the middle.

But at the end of the day, there is no question that the Hoops were brilliant under his management. And he has proven his qualities at Leicester City as well.

As a result, it should not come as a surprise that he is being linked with a move to a club like FC Barcelona and if he did end up getting the Camp Nou job one day, he would probably do very well there also.
