It is safe to say that Ange Postecoglou has already managed to become a fan favourite at Celtic. When the manager was first appointed, not many people were sure what to expect from him as he hadn’t had an extensive career in Europe before that. He has come in though and quickly made an impact on the Hoops as it looks like the club are certainly on the right path under his management.

Coming in, Postecoglou had a massive task on his hands. Not only was he coming into completely new surroundings and a bit late in the summer, but the squad needed to undergo a massive transformation as well.

As a result, most of the focus over the course of the summer transfer window was on bringing in new players in order to improve the squad. Twelve players arrived at Parkhead overall, ten on a permanent basis and two on loan with an option to buy included in both those deals.

Now, that that is done, it looks like the focus will shift towards other areas where the club need to improve. As reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou said:

"“We’ll start working on the structure off the field in terms of our staffing and how we do things, which is good.“I want to build something that’s going to be a sustainable success.“It’s going to take a little time but we’re chipping away at it.”"

Celtic are moving in the right direction under the management of Postecoglou

It is very positive to see the club have plans not only on the pitch but off it as well, which is very important when it comes to success in modern football.

Of course, things like these will take some time. In many ways, Celtic are in reset mode at the moment and it might take a season or more in order to get them back to the top of Scottish football once again.

But the direction in which they are moving at the moment is certainly very positive. While results have been mixed this season, the performances have provided the fans a lot of hope about the future. Now, it will be important that Celtic give Postecoglou the backing that he needs moving forward.
