It is still very, very early in the season. But it is hard not to get excited about things to come considering Celtic’s recent results and the football that they have been playing.

The 6-0 win over St Mirren made it six in a row for Ange Postecoglou’s side. And in these six games, they have managed to outscore their opponents 24 to 4.

That is incredible and not something that most people would have been expecting after their disappointing 2020/21 campaign, when they finished 25 points behind the Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table.

If the Hoops can continue to put in these performances throughout the course of the season, then they are more than ready to challenge for the title this time around.

When the rumours first emerged about Ange Postecoglou potentially being the next Celtic manager, it is safe to say that opinions were divided amongst the fans regarding the appointment.

About two months after his arrival and almost everyone seems to agree that it was the right appointment. The manager has done an incredible job till now. After a difficult start to the campaign, he has steadied the ship with new signings arriving and settling in. And now, the Hoops are playing the kind of football that his previous sides have been known for.

Going forward, they are a joy to watch and it is very exciting to think that they will probably only get better with time as they become more used to Postecoglou’s system.

This upcoming week will be very important, with the second leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round tie against AZ Alkmaar coming up before a Glasgow Derby against the Rangers. On the back of these results, the Hoops should very confident going into both games.
