A huge game again, it always is. But so much more is on the line for this one. The Rangers will likely be very confident and organised. It’s hard to tell what position Celtic could be in, the form over previous matches, the Cup Final, the players. So many variables which will play a part.

It’s right at the start of January, it could be Lennon’s last stand if the board statement holds out for a January review and he is still here at that point of time. A Celtic win on the back of an uplift in performance and results in December and who knows what might happen over the remainder of the season.

The Rangers haven’t been under any real pressure in the league yet. Who knows how they might react? A draw could well be a good result based on current from, but little use in the overall scheme of things. Lose, well it’s never all over until mathematically impossible, but it’d be hard to see a way forward.

It’s pretty obvious this game is critical, they can sometimes be one-off matches and that may play into Celtic hands. We can only hope the players are ready, organised, motivated and determined. In recent games against the Rangers the Hoops haven’t always turned up, they need to be there this time for sure.
