Robert Snodgrass appears to have dropped a Celtic transfer hit on social media as he looks set to join the Scottish champions on deadline day.

The Celtic rumour mill has come to life today with multiple sources linking the club to Robert Snodgrass. The West Ham United winger has found it difficult to make it into David Moyes’ plans and seems to keen to leave in order get first-team chances elsewhere. And that somewhere else just might end up being Parkhead.

Despite being 33, Snodgrass still appears to have a lot of football left him in. The Scot has carved out an impressive career for himself down South, having featured for the likes of Norwich City, West Ham United, Hull City, Leeds United and West Ham United. And even last season, he provided 5 goals and 5 assists in just 17 Premier League starts.

Having grown up a Celtic fan, it looks like he is keen on donning the famous Hoops before he retires. And just like Shane Duffy, a season-long loan to be a part of the historic 10IAR campaign could be the way he finally achieves his dream. As we all know, social media is a huge part of a footballer’s life these days and Snodgrass appears to have dropped a hint on Instagram that he could be headed to Parkhead.

In the dying minutes of the match against St Johnstone, Leigh Griffiths broke the deadlock to secure all three points for Celtic. And Snodgrass seems to have enjoyed the goal just as much as any Hoops fan:

Of course it is very subtle and he might just be interested as a fan of the club but the timing of it just seems too good to be just a co-incidence. Fans said there was nothing to it when Shane Duffy started following Celtic and look where he is playing now. Where is there is smoke, there is fire. And we will be hoping that that is certainly the case this time around.
