Tottenham Hotspur seem open to the idea of letting Ryan Sessegnon join Celtic on a season-long loan if the Hoops meet one condition.
It is no secret that Celtic are in need of a left-back after letting Jonny Hayes leave for free to Aberdeen and being almost forced to loan Boli Bolingoli following his disastrous trip to Spain without telling the club authorities and then featuring in a league game when he should have been in quarantine.
The Ryan Sessegnon to Celtic rumours have started to heat up a bit today though as it looks like the Hoops are really interested in bringing the Tottenham man to Parkhead. Capable of playing at both left-back and left-wing, it might be an inspired move on the part of the club to get him to play in the left wingback position in Lennon’s 3-5-2.
The move will only be on a season-long loan though as there is no way Celtic can sign the highly-rated English youngster who Tottenham paid £25 million for just last summer. He has not come out of the blocks running for the Premier League side though and sending him on loan to get regular minutes would suit all parties involved.
Thus, Tottenham seem happy enough to let go of the 20-year-old if the loan club are paying a big part of his wages, which is reported to be around £60,000 per week. Obviously there is no way Celtic will be paying most of it but might agree to pay half of it, considering this is 10IAR season and Sessegnon would most probably tear up the Scottish Premiership.

But Sky Sports News understands the finances of a potential deal have proved problematic.
A number of Premier League clubs are also interested in the 20-year-old.
Celtic on the other hand want Alfie Doughty of Charlton Athletic but have not been able to agree a fee yet. Thus, they could bring Sessegnon for the season and then try to get Doughty for free next summer with his contract running out.
