The pundit has raised questions about Odsonne Edouard’s Celtic future, claiming he could be on his way out of the club this summer.

Odsonne Edouard’s performances since the start of the season have certainly been a cause for concern for Celtic. The Frenchman has not looked quite up to the mark since his hattrick on Flag Day against Hamilton Academical.

Of course, there have been injury concerns surrounding him which led to him being dropped out of the UEFA Champions League qualification tie against Ferencvaros, which Celtic ended up losing. But then there are always going to be questions regarding his future at the club as well as it is quite clear that some of the biggest clubs in Europe are after his signature. Clubs that Celtic cannot compete with financially due to the nature of modern football.

They will be desperate to hold on to the striker at least for this season though with a historical 10IAR hanging in the balance. But the global pandemic has wrecked havoc on club’s finances around the world. And Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker believes that could be a huge reason why Odsonne Edouard might be allowed to leave before the transfer window slams shut in less than two weeks.

As reported by the Glasgow Times, the pundit told Sky Sports:

"“Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard is clearly destined to eventually play in a bigger league.“He was voted by the Scottish football writers as their player of the year last season and it was an easy call to make.“He is an outstanding talent, capable of playing for a top-six club in the Premier League and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Celtic took money for him now given how much cash they are burning every month with very little coming in.”"

Odsonne Edouard is without question one of the best players in Scotland right now and whenever he leaves, he will go for a significant bid. There is no reason to let him go this summer. Yes, the club might not be in the strongest state financially right now but the history that will come with winning 10IAR is priceless.
