Celtic are set to be tempted into selling the wantaway star as they are set to receive a £12 million bid from a Premier League side.

With the global pandemic wrecking havoc on the finances of football clubs around the world, Celtic dug themselves into a deeper hole when they got knocked out of the second round of the Champions League qualifiers at the hands of Ferencvaros following a 2-1 defeat at home. As a result, the club might be forced into recuperating some of the lost revenue by selling players.

While the man most linked with a move away has understandably been Odsonne Edouard, it is his fellow Frenchman Olivier Ntcham who could be on the way of the door. Rumours have persisted for a while that he wants to leave. And they were only heightened after Neil Lennon claimed a couple of players were hoping to leave in an explosive rant following the Ferencvaros defeat.

Ntcham’s name cropped up as being possibly being one of the two. And he might get his wish soon as Football Insider has claimed that Southampton are looking to put in a bid for the Frenchman soon, with Lyon, Marseille and West Brom also interested in his signature.

Celtic also have a great relationship with Southampton, with multiple players having jumped from one side to the other in recent years. Thus, it is to be expected that the Premier League will be in the driver’s seat if a bidding war breaks out.

Now the question is, what should Celtic do if a bid around £12 million comes in for Ntcham? On one hand he is played regularly for the Hoops this season and is an important part of this team. On the other though, it might be too good an offer to reject. Thus, it is a big decision that Celtic could have on their hands if an offer does indeed come in for the highly-rated midfielder.
