The Italian club are preparing a £15-million bid for the Celtic star who reportedly has wanted to leave the club for quite some time.

Celtic have made some impressive acquisitions in the current transfer window. Spending about £12 million, they have managed to sign the likes of Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti and David Turnbull on permanent deals. Shane Duffy was also signed on a season-long loan while the loan deal for Mohamed Elyounoussi was extended for another season as well.

No big name has left the club in this transfer window yet though and that is something that does not happen most of the time. There is no denying the fact that Celtic are a selling club at the moment and with the financial havoc wrecked by the global pandemic as well, it would not be surprising if there is a high-profile exit from Parkhead before the window shuts.

And recent rumours suggest that AC Milan are preparing a £15 million bid for Kristoffer Ajer. Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports tweeted out:

Ajer has been linked with an exit for quite some time with recent rumours suggesting that he and Ntcham were the two players that Neil Lennon had accused of looking to leave the club for several months.

While the Norwegian’s performances have dipped without a doubt since the start of last season, he still does remain a regular starter. And the club will have a hard time finding someone to replace with not much longer left in the current transfer window.

But if the club is in a position where they have to sell someone to keep the finances balanced, there is no doubt that the fans will choose to let Ajer go over Edouard, who also has been linked with numerous clubs around Europe, any day of the week. While finding a replacement for the Norwegian will be difficult, finding one for French Eddy will almost be impossible.
