Another Celtic youngster has decided to leave the Scottish champions as his move to an English Championship club was confirmed earlier.

Transfer business is certainly heating up at Celtic right now. They have already completed the signings of Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti and David Turnbull, while they also managed to extend the loan spell of Mohamed Elyounoussi by another season and dropped a bombshell earlier today by confirming that Shane Duffy has also joined the Hoops on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.

It has not been just incomings though as a number of players have left the club as well to make way for the signings. And while most of them were mere deadwood in the squad, who no fan would complain about leaving, the number of youngsters who have also chosen to leave Parkhead should be alarming.

The latest in a long line of summer departures is Connor McBride. The 19-year-old had joined Celtic in January of 2018 but failed to break into the first-team. And as a result, like many youngsters in recent times before him, he has decided to leave Parkhead and there has not been a lack of suitors.

Blackburn Rovers are the club who have decided to give him a shot. As reported by Lancs Live, the Championship side announced:

"“Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of sought-after young striker Connor McBride from Scottish champions Celtic.“The 19-year-old forward joins on a two-year deal, with the option of an extra 12 months, and is initially expected to link up with Rovers Under-23s.”"

Not a lot of youngsters have managed to break into this Celtic first team in recent times. And while a large part of that is down to how strong the current team is, the club must be wary of not losing players who go on to superstars at other places like some have in the recent past.
