Ryan Christie: 8

One of the sole bright spots in a dark match. Christie was the lone goal scorer and was asked to play out of position in what is the toughest competition this squad is likely to face for quite a while. Christie’s presence could have been used in the midfield but instead was asked to be the top man, but that is a different article.

Olivier Ntcham: 7

The Frenchman has been asking for a start and he got it in one of the young season’s biggest moments. He made little impact and in fact tried to do too much. He had lackluster shots that were either routine for the opposing keeper or were no worry at all. Still, his pace of play helped create opportunities indirectly.

Mohamed Elyounoussi: 8

So many chances created and yet so many lost for the Norwegian. Time and time again he created goal opportunities. However, he was never able to find the back of the net. Other than Christie, Mo was the only other bright spot in the match.

Kristoffer Ajer: 7

We have to give credit where credit is due. Ajer was on the bench the last few matches and was called upon to start on Wednesday. He played fairly well on defence and wasn’t one of the culprits to help give up a goal. This Ajer is what needs to be around all season.
