Here’s 3 things we learned as Celtic put KR Reykjavik to the sword to walk out with a 6-0 victory in the first round of Champions League qualification.Celtic’s toothless display against Kilmarnock last week must have worried a few fans but the Bhoys put that disappointment behind them as they destroyed KR Reykjavik 6-0 in the first round Champions League qualifier.

Goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi, Odsonne Edouard, Greg Taylor and Christopher Jullien were enough to see the Hoops walk out with an impressive victory as they prepare to return to Scottish action Dundee United.

Here are three things we learned on the day:

Elyounoussi was a shrewd signing

Many expected the club to let go of the Norwegian after an injury plagued season. His talent is clear for all to see though and he has been one of the club’s best performers till now this season. One can only hope that he manages to stay away from injuries this time around.

Celtic are expected to go with a 3-5-2 formation as the season progresses. It will be interesting to see though who Lennon goes for in that third midfield spot with McGregor and Brown. Last season it was Ntcham who got the nod most of the time. Christie is also someone who deserves a look in though. But it will be hard to keep Elyounoussi out of the team on current form.
