Celtic have been named as the favourites to land the Scottish international but the Hoops fans clearly do not want him at Parkhead.

Celtic appear to be on a bit of a hot streak right now when it comes to the transfer market. They have signed Vasilis Barkas and Albian Ajeti for a combined £9 million while also retaining the services of Mohamed Elyounoussi for another season on loan. On top of that, they have also reportedly opened talks with Shane Duffy.

It is safe to say, Celtic fans are happy with all those names. But the same cannot be said about their latest rumoured target – Oliver Burke. According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, the Hoops are leading the race for his signature, with West Bromwich Albion eager to cut their losses.

Now, right wing is a position that Celtic could do with some depth in. At the end of the day, there is no real competition for James Forrest and he has not been at his best for quite some time now with a number of fans growing increasingly frustrated with his below par performances. Burke certainly is not the answer though.

Now to be fair to Burke, he does possess some qualities. And at what point of time, he was the most expensive Scottish footballer in history. But he has never been able to quite put those abilities together.

What makes these rumours a bit unbelievable though is that Burke was on loan at Celtic just a couple of seasons ago. But Neil Lennon did not seem a big fan of him and thus it is highly unlikely that he will suddenly want him now.

He did score 4 goals for Celtic in 19 appearances but did not make too much of impression to be very honest. And while he has represented the Scottish national team on 11 occasions, it is safe to say that no Hoops fan is clamouring to bring this international to Parkhead.
