Kris Boyd is at it again as he claims that Celtic are now a weakened side due to the decision of letting one star leave the club.

Kris Boyd is known to never have anything good to say about Celtic while seemingly also try to uplift a failing club in Rangers. It makes sense, every club needs a good arch rival and for Kris Boyd he relishes the fact that the rival gets to be the Hoops.

Well, Boyd is at it again with his latest comments in which he asserts that Celtic have not only been weakened, but were also silly for letting one of their stars walk away from the club. None of this rhetoric is surprising coming from Boyd, but one would think he has to tire of bashing Celtic only for his club to make a fool of themselves year after year.

But, it is fun constantly getting to see Boyd make insane claims only to have to eat his words every single week. That’s what is expected though when your entire rhetoric revolves around defending a dead club.

Here is exactly what Boyd had to say in his SunSport column in regards to the Hoops letting Craig Gordon walk:

"“I just look at the Celtic side and don’t think it’s as strong as it was.“The decision to let Craig Gordon go baffled me at the time and still does.“This new signing, Vasilis Barkas, looks decent, but it’s still a gamble bringing in a goalkeeper who has never played in Scottish football.”"

Wow. So, by letting Craig Gordon, who is 37-years old, leave the club in order to free up money to sign Barkas, who is 26-years old and proven himself in Europe, has weakened Celtic? Nobody is buying it. We suppose Boyd will say whatever he has to in order to make himself and Rangers feel better. Take a lap.
