Neil Lennon confirms Celtic man has picked up another injury

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has recently given an update on one the club’s oft-injured strikers and how that could affect his future at the club.
Celtic have had their fair share of injuries last season and during the off-season. However, one player was recently commented on after manager Neil Lennon gave an injury update on the player. Vakoun Bayo is the player in question and during the off-season picked up a hamstring injury.
Bayo’s future with the club has recently been in contention considering that Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths hit it off as a dynamic duo in the second half of last season. That looks to continue to be a possibility this season. None of that mentions the addition of Patryk Klimala last January and his off-season improvement.
It also seems like Celtic is linked with a different striker every single week with West Ham United’s Albian Ajeti expected on a season-long loan, however there appears to be a hold up on the player’s end. If this were to come true then Bayo would be incredibly far down in the pecking order.
Here is what Lennon had to say about Bayo in his recent press conference according to the Daily Record:
"“Bayo is out with a hamstring injury but we are hoping he will be fit at some stage next week. But that game will have done both Leigh and Patryk the world of good.”"
Even if Bayo gets back into training where does his playing time come from. It’s true that this season will be a whirlwind, and players will have to pick up the slack. But after watching Klimala this past match you can’t help but think he will get the nod over Bayo.
Somewhere and someone will have to give when it comes to playing time. It’s starting to look more and more like Bayo.
