The Celtic target’s agent has dropped a massive hint that the star will available to The Hoops in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Heading into next season, Celtic will be hoping to have as much ammunition in their arsenal as they can with a history-making tenth straight Scottish league title up for grabs. The global pandemic surely must have affected the club’s transfer plans adversely though as it has caused significant financial loss to teams all around the world.

Yet Celtic can’t sit back and use that as an excuse for not making a statement in the transfer market. Chances like this don’t come often if ever and if we let this slip, the board will have a hard time in terms of gaining the fan’s forgiveness.

The club have already been dealt a huge transfer blow with it looking more and more likely that Fraser Forster will not be returning to Parkhead next season. But despite the setback, thankfully they have continued to pursue targets in every position. One of them being Eredivisie club FC Ulrecht’s highly-rated winger Gyrano Kerk.

The Dutch winger was in terrific form before the virus outbreak cut short the season in Netherlands. In 30 appearances, Kerk had 11 goals and 12 assists. As a result, he is clearly a man in demand.

Earlier it been reported that Celtic had made a failed last gasp attempt to bring him to Parkhead in the winter transfer window and now it appears he will be on the move in the summer. As reported by the Daily Record, his agent said:

"“I have been in plenty of Zoom conversations with big foreign clubs. Gyrano has proved he’s ready for the next step, although it’s not a foregone conclusion that he will leave.“But he is very ambitious. He is 24 years old and has had a very strong season.“At the same time, Utrecht has become his club – they have given him a lot. The club knows our position.”"

Kerk surely could a huge star at Parkhead if the club manage to sign him. He is exactly the type of player Celtic should be chasing.

His numbers suggest that he is equally adept at both scoring and providing for his teammates and James Forrest could do with some competition on the right wing, having shown signs of fading away in the latter half of last season.
