Leeds United have their eyes on a Celtic superstar if they can achieve promotion into the English Premier League for next season.
Leeds United looks set to achieve promotion to the English Premier League as they sit atop the Championship table heading into the final matches of the season. Now, they have their eyes set on a Celtic superstar in order to help them maintain their status next season.
Leeds want to make a bid for Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard in order to help them solidify their position in the EPL next season according to The Mirror. As far as young, talented and attractive options at the striker position, Edouard has to be near the top of the list for most clubs.
However, Edouard seems content to stay with Celtic and the club surely want him around for the 10-in-a-row season. In fact, most of the rumours surrounding Edouard have been put to bed heading into this transfer window despite the insane amount of talking during the season.
It remains to be seen what the transfer bid would look like, but it deems it would take quite a bit to pry the Frenchman away from the Hoops, especially right now. However, it is clear that Edouard will see his move and likely soon, potentially a year from now. Could his value be at an all-time high right now? Or should Celtic stand firm on keeping the striker at the club for another year and hope his value increased even further?
Those types of questions are ones that the Celtic board will have to answer. The Hoops are never one to shy away from making deals. But with the exit of so many other players could Celtic afford to let perhaps their best player go? These are the questions that must be answered.
